Tried to create one publishing portal site in Sharpoint using Publishing Site template. However, there is "The trial period for this product has expired" error message came out. Checked the license status, it is activated. The standard and enterprise features are both enabled in site feature of Sharepoint. Only Office SharePoint Server Publishing hasn't been enabled. Click Enable to activate this feature, then the same error message came out "The trial period for this product has expired". Search Internet, found one article mentions to change the site collection appication pool to CA application pool to eliminate the account deny error.
The error message disappeared after following the suggested solution. What a strange error!
