One of the clients required to configure RSA Radius server in production environment, integrate with RSA Authentication Manager 7.1 SP4. The firest attempt returned with unknown error, without any reason. After check the service status, found RSA Radius service wasn't able to start. A second attemp returned with Radius Config Process can't process error.
A few troubleshooting steps were taken as following:
1. Check the RADIUSOC log, found master password is empty and no internal or external command error;
2. Check the RADIUS installation log, found the similar error message;
3. Tried to change master password, found no internal or external command error, and this command actually is part of the master password.
The conclusion is that RSA Authentication Manager master password can't use "&" as part of the password. It will not warn during the installation, but will cause issue when configurating RADIUS server.
